Debatable de∙bat∙a∙ble (adj) Open to parliamentary discussion or argument.

We can only guess at the number of debatable items the conference committee has tackled while trying to agree on a budget.

Happy fall! This morning's cool temperatures are un-be-leaf-able! 🍁🍂 Of course, that's debatable since there are plenty of people who want summer to last forever. No matter what side of the season debate you're on, we're fall in this together and we've got a few resources to support you. Are we missing something important? Maybe Next Week

We were hoping that the NC General Assembly would agree on a budget to discuss with Governor Cooper this week. But, it seems we will have to wait another week for those negotiations to begin. Budget chairs in both chambers are still working out some details behind closed doors. President Pro Tempore Phil Berger said earlier this week that he hopes he and Speaker Moore can meet this weekend to make final compromises before looping Governor Cooper into the discussion next week. We are still hopeful that there will be a budget agreement by mid-October. In the meantime, we continue to advocate for our priorities and start making plans for next session, which is only a few months away. Become a member and join us October 18 at 1pm to discuss our 2022 policy agenda.
